“Go to the river” was an ecology project undertaken by the K-town group together with Seča Reka Local Community, Kosjerić Municipality and Local Communal Service on 21st of May and 5th of Jun 2004 in the village of Seča Reka.
Working together volunteers of K-town group and Football club Sečica cleaned the revisers Tmuša and Sečica which encouraged students of Seča Reka primary school to join the action and clean their school year the village streets.
We found the cleaning conditions of both rivers to be an extremely bad and we managed to collect and transport four fully loaded tractor trailers of waste.
In this way we tried to give our best to help the improvement of cleaning condition of our immediate natural environment and to give a positive example for further actions. Above all, we hope that our action drew public attention to the environmental cleaning conditions and promote volunteerism as a mean of civic action. We hope that our organization will be able to organize similar actions in the near future.
